The Hartford City Parks Collection at the Hartford History Center, Hartford Public Library, is the archive of the Hartford City Parks Department.  The collection spans from 1845 to the late 1960's, and includes a wide variety of material that helps tell the story of Hartford's City Parks. Included in this collection, are nearly 2,700 photographs.  Hartford Springs into Summer introduces the viewer to newly digitized images held in the collection.  For more information about the collection, please see our finding aid (guide to the collection).

We recognize there are gaps in our collections, and not all of Hartford's residents are represented in these photographs.
